Welcome to Climate Strategies

Climate Strategies is an academic network organisation focused upon developing and delivering research to meet the needs of international climate change policymaking. It convenes international groups of experts to provide rigorous, fact-based and independent assessment on international climate change policy. To effectively communicate insights into climate change policy, Climate Strategies works with decision-makers in governments and business, particularly, but not restricted to, the countries of the European Union and EU institutions.

We currently work in the following areas: EU Emissions Trading; The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM); and East-West Investment. The proposed launch work programme for 2007 is summarised in the Research Prospectus.

Recent Climate Strategies studies have been funded by the Carbon Trust, Dutch Ministry of Economics, UK Department of Trade and Industry, UK Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Swedish Ministry of Sutainable Development and BP.

Climate Strategies also recently co-invested to strengthen the editorial capacity of Climate Policy journal and oversees an annual training course on Climate Change Science, Impacts and Responses.
